The Lane Cove Bushland Park is open from 7 am to 7 pm, and the Gore Creek Reserve is open from 8 am to 5 pm. The park is open all year round. However, the best time to visit is during the spring and autumn months, when the weather is cooler, and the leaves are changing colour.

Getting There And Parking

The easiest way to get to the Lane Cove Bushland Park and Gore Creek Reserve is by car. The park is located just off the Pacific Highway, and there is plenty of parking available at both parks.

Public Transport

If you’re using public transport, you can catch a train to Chatswood station and then walk for around 20 minutes to the park. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Chatswood station to the Pacific Highway and then walk for around 10 minutes to the park.

There are also a number of Sydney Ferries services that operate from Chatswood to Circular Quay, and from here, you can catch a bus or train to the park.

Things To Do

Once you reach Gore Creek Reserve, there are plenty of things to do. There is a huge playground for the kids to enjoy and plenty of picnic areas where you can relax and take in the stunning views.

For the more adventurous, there is a great walking track that takes you all the way to the top of the reserve, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Sydney Harbour.

If you’re feeling really energetic, you can even walk all the way back to Chatswood station – it’s around 5km from the park.
